What's In A Name, Part III

The time has come again and we've chosen a name for our 3rd little boy...

Weston Luke Bethancourt

Weston--I (Cami) just truly love the name! I told Phillip before we were even pregnant that I just thought there was another boy named Weston coming to join our family. I don't have a lot of specific rationale, but it was a lot like Nathan's name that I just couldn't let it go before and during the pregnancy. It also fits my 2 syllable first name criteria so I will have completed the naming trifecta equally. Also, I am from the region of West Texas which is known for good folks so perhaps it's a bit of an homage to my roots as well.

Luke--It's biblical. There is the gospel written by Luke (a physician) and he also wrote the book of Acts. Luke is Greek in origin and can mean either "wolf" or "bright." The Christmas Story is most commonly told from the Gospel of Luke Chapter 2. My mom's maiden name was Lucke (pronounced Luke-ee) and there was a family connection on Phillip's dad's side as well. We also have a sweet nephew named Luke!

We truly hope this name will fit the little boy who will bear it. May he be strong and courageous, faithful, and a defender of truth. Weston we are so excited to meet you!

And then there were 3: Nathan, Lawson, and Weston and I really love these 3 little men!

GREAT name! I'm so sad that I didn't go to the Baylor game... when Philip told me he ran into y'all, I was kicking myself for not going. :( Congratulations on boy #3 on the way!

Congrats on baby boy #3! I love the name and the rationale behind them both are pretty neat, too! Also, tell Phillip congratulations from us on getting his PhD! You have so much excitement going on around your house! We love y'all and keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers!
Love,
