Thankful

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday enjoying some dear friends here in Louisville. And here's two reasons we're thankful...

Lawson at 4 Months

So, I forgot to post my latest Lawson statistical update. How could I forget this? These are some of my favorite blog posts to go back and look at. Alas, here it is better late than never.

Height: 26 1/2 in (90%)
Weight: 18 lbs 3 oz (95%)
Head Circumference: 17 1/4 in (75-90%)

The little man is growing up fast! He is a roller both ways and a tummy sleeper. This month (with his acquired rolling skills) he tried rolling during the night just for grins. He thought it was fun, mom not so much. It is fine now, but early on he couldn't fix himself and would get wedged into places he couldn't get out of then cry for help. Then I'd come down and fix him and sometimes the stinker would just roll right back! Anyway, we've conquered the intense fixation and now he's just sleeping at night instead of rolling the night away!

He also has become a Finger Muncher (that's what I call it instead of finger sucking because that sounds gross to me). He likes to chomp on his pointer and middle finger together and either hand will do. He does it to pass the time or soothe himself. Certainly not 24/7 but he does enjoy a good chomp when he feels so inclined.

The Finger Muncher in Action

Lawson has lost all of his hair except for a little tuft on top. It's not too much of a tuft though because it stays smoothed down. So maybe it's more of a swoop--a smooth swoop that is. He has new hair coming in and it appears to be mostly brown, but it might be lighter in some areas. It's still a bit hard to tell. His eyes are still grayish blue. Sometimes they look really blue and sometimes green. We'll have to see how they settle out.

A 4 Month Smile

His hearty laughing continues and Dad and Nathan get the most laughs. I guess I don't tickle his funny bone like they do!

Glad we have this boy around!
