Here's the view of the Cincinnati skyline we experienced last Saturday night. We went for the wedding of Chuck & Beth Haddox and the reception location was incredible. It was a scenic overlook on a hill that allowed you to see tons of the city. We didn't have a lot of time to just toodle around town, but hopefully we will get the chance to go back for a more extended visit soon.
In other news, I have taken a job at a local boutique called Glasscock Women's Apparel. We sell social occasion and specialty dresses, and some jewelry, hats, and accessories as well. So ladies, if you are looking for a special outfit, I might know just the place. We get lots of mother-of-the-brides/grooms, prom queens, brides-to-be, social butterflies, and especially Derby debutantes. This is the busiest season right now because Derby is only 1 month away, so the women of Louisville are trying to find "just the right outfit" that they can sip their mint juleps in while they seek shelter under their one-of-a-kind hats. And boy are there some fantastic hats...
Here is Exhibit A:
Now that's a hat...I think this one is harboring a dead cockatoo. I might have to call PETA.
